This week, if I could put in one sentence would be, "WE ATE GOOD!" Lol and I'm talking about spiritually and physically!

This week Elder Barnes and I focused on following the promptings of the Spirit and using the power of prayer. We noticed every time we pray before a lesson or before tracking, a miracle happens every time! On Tuesday we were able to find people out of the blue just by following the spirit and it was awesome!

We have been working with this little family from Guatemala! They are so awesome and so fresh too! This past week we had a super good lesson with them about baptism. They are struggling with the fact that they have already been baptized. During the lesson we testified to them and used scriptures in the Book of Mormon of how important it is for us to be baptized by the proper priesthood authority and be baptized the same way Jesus Christ was. It was a super powerful lesson because they were a little defensive at first, but literally you could feel the difference after we testified with boldness. It just made sense to them in the end! It was seriously a testimony builder of what being bold with love does!

This week we had the opportunity to be on the Mission panel for the new missionaries coming in for transfers!! It was so fun to be able to be with all the newbies and seeing their spirit! Also it was sweet to hear everyone's testimonies and stories from around the mission. The feeling came over me when we were there that confirmed "you are doing the best thing in the world." It was like I was in a movie and everything went in slow motion; I was just looking around seeing everyone's happiness and it literally almost made me cry.  It was such a good experience! I honestly can say I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! It's the best thing ever!

We ate so much this week. I'll drop the pics under here so yall can see how good it was!

I love you all and hope you all have a good week!

This week was so good! Ivan got baptized! His service went so well and his family (who aren't members) were able to attend! His mom could feel the Holy Ghost so strong there and she was in tears the whole time! After the Baptism we asked Ivan how he felt and his words were, "I feel warm and clean" with a huge smile on his face! Those words hit me so hard! It brought the biggest smile to my face! But what was better than the service was the next day when he got confirmed! Our Branch President, President Moreno gave one of the most beautiful blessings I have ever heard on my mission to confirm Ivan as the newest member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! It was awesome! He is the first member in his family and so we are hoping that his example will bring the rest of his family to the happiness that he is enjoying right now!

This Saturday we also got transfer calls! I'll be staying in Yak Town (Yakistan lol) with Elder Barnes! But we are getting some new people in my District! Elder Brunson and Hermana Meza will be joining the squad! Also Elder Carrasco (Mi papa) is coming down to be in the zone to be the DL over the other district in our zone! It's going to be a fun transfer!

In the apartment, Elder Barnes and I got a grill! haha! So this past week we have been grilling all week! I's so nice after biking all day and coming home and eating some brats, definitely better than the saimini I was eating lol!

But this week was super good! This transfer went so fast as well. I can't believe we are going on to Elder Barnes' 2nd half of training!

I love you all! And hope you have a bomb week!

Elder Ka'ili

Oh man this week went by so fast but it was so good! First off Happy Mothers day to all my moms out there! To all my aunties, my cousins, my grandmas, and my mom and sister! I love you all! This week though was awesome! Summer is here and its so hot especially cause me and Elder Barnes are on bikes! It was 90's this week and the other missionaries are saying that its usually 110 during the summer! Haha So I'm soooooo excited to be in a biking area during the summer! (;

Yesterday Ivan passed his Baptism interview for this Saturday so we are so pumped for him! This week is just going to be review and preparation for his baptism! I don't think I have met a kid that wants to be baptized more than him! It's so good! It's still crazy to me to see the Holy Ghost works in lessons with the people that we teach. You can literally see the Holy Ghost testify to them of the truthfulness of this message! Their whole demeanor changes and with Ivan it has been an awesome experience to see him grow! We had to move his date a couple of times but  come this Saturday, it is set.  Elder Barnes and I couldn't be happier for him! Pics will be coming soon!!!!

This week I have been reminded over and over again how important it is to follow the promptings of the spirit! Elder Barnes and I  gave a couple of blessings this week and the only reason we were able to give those is because we followed the spirit to be in the place we needed to be! Wednesday night we were able to give a blessing to a less active member just because our plans fell through ad we were wondering who we could visit! We prayed and then David came to mind and the cool thing is we were right by his house, so we went there and he asked for one! Another example was on Friday me and Elder Barnes wanted to go to Red Robin haha. We never go to restaurants but we wanted some banzai burgers so bad, but we didn't end up going... but on Saturday we didn't have a dinner so me and Elder Barnes and the ZL's all went to Red Robin. When we were walking in, there was a family going in and the grandma had problems with her wheelchair right by the door. So we helped them. Something that caught my attention was the mom of the family said, "Wow you can always count on the missionaries to show up right when you need them". That hit deep in my heart! It told me how important it is to follow the promptings we feel because the Lord is using us to answer prayers! After eating that family paid for us and then asked us to give a blessing. So we did! It was an awesome experience! Yesterday we were able to give more blessings to the family that we ate dinner with as well! La familia Bautista! They are awesome! But seriously, this week was just such a testament to me of how important it is for me to follow every prompting! It is such an important part of missionary work!!!

On Thursday we had a Mothers Day activity, since the Hispanic culture celebrates Mothers Day on the 10th! Haha and I straight up felt like I was back at one of the parties in my Tongan ward back home where all the old ladies are dancing to the music! Lol except is was just Mexicanized! Haha like they have there own electric slide in Spanish, I was dying laughing! It was a good time!

Transfer calls and interviews are already here for this upcoming week! It's so crazy how fast time is flying! Thank you all for your support and love! I love you all and hope you guys have a good week!

Such a bomb week!

1st exchanges as a DL
This week I went on exchanges with the other elder in my district! On Tuesday I went on exchanges with Elder Zenn in my area and Elder Barnes (mijo) went to Selah/naches with Elder Jensen! Lol it was awesome so in other words... everything fell through! So we were able to get a lot of finding done! Elder Zenn has this "Gospel Library" to literally demolish anyone that tries to bash with us so it was funny to see him in action! Later in the week we did exchanges with the Zone Leaders as well! I went with Elder Parkin and that was my second time going with him since he was my Zone Leader in my first area too. So it was so fun!

District Council
I had my first District Council this past week and it was so fun! I was high key stressed about it but after a lot of prayer and preparation I felt super good going into it! My district is seriously awesome! We set some super good goals that is going to help all of us strive for greatness and work super hard! Other than that, first District Council was tight!

Stake Conference
This week we had Stake conference! It was so nice! The stake president gave an awesome talk about the second coming and how we need to be prepared for it! All these changes are happening to help us get more prepared for his wonderful return! He shared this quote from Wilford Woodruff about how we need to prepare as if the Lord is going to come tomorrow because even if he doesnt come tomorrow, we are still prepared! It's a win-win situation! But stake conference was tight!

This week was awesome! I love you all and hope you have a good week!

Con Amor,
Elder Ka'ili
