What a week! haha not going to lie this week was super fun! to start we went on 3 exchanges so we didn't have a lot of time to work our area together but we put in a lot of work during exchanges so it was awesome!!!

At the beginning of the week, to start it off with a bang we traveled up north and went on exchanges with the Ephrata Zone Leaders, Elder Dardon and Despain. It was so fun! So funny story from the exchange, there is this pizza place called Timeout Pizza. It's owned by a member and they have this challenge called man vs pizza, which is this 15" pizza wide and 4" thick and you have to eat it in under an hr.... so you already know ya elder had to do it! Haha so I did it and I ate every slice of pizza but when the time was up I had a little bit of toppings on the plate so I didnt get the prize but he still gave me a shirt because I am the only one that has ever eaten every slice of pizza. Haha it was so bad.... right after he said time I ran outside and I threw up basically the whole pizza ('lll attach photos dont worry!) haha but it was so funny!

Once we got back down to Yakima we went on more exchanges for the rest of the week with some other elders that President wanted us to do. Then we went with the Yakima Valley zone Leaders! But enough about exchanges! Our people in our area are progressing super well! The Lord is blessing us so much especially with grandma Cheryl that we are teaching! I have seen so many miracles with Cheryl, she has a baptismal date for the 21st and there is no doubt in my mind that we are going to get her dunked! We got her off smoking this week and she gave us her cigarettes! We were able to have 2 different members meet her this week help out a ton with her as well! This past week Cheryl came to church too and then came to the devotional at sister statler's house! It was awesome! She is doing super good!

Another miracle that we saw this week is we got Amaya approved to be baptized by Bishop Englund! We are going to be putting her on date this week for the 28th! She is super prepared already and so we just need fellowship and she will be good! Heavenly Father is helping us out so much. It honestly feels so good to follow the promptings of the spirit and see things work out everytime! I have been able to see myself becoming a better and better instrument for my Heavenly Father and it feels so good!

This week is transfer planning week so it going to get hectic! We are also going to Seattle this week for my companion because he has to go see if he needs surgery for this bump on his chest, so that's going to be fun and that means CHICK FIL A! HAHA so miracles on miracles!

This week was awesome but also super busy! I love you all and hope you are all trying to light the world!

WOWOWO!

Sorry I haven't been able to send a weekly in a min but these past 3 weeks have been the craziest and fastest three weeks of my whole mission! I honestly didn't think the AP life was this crazy but we are always on the move. It's a grind but I love it! These past 2 weeks we have had trainer trainee meetings, Doctrine of Christ meetings and Zone Conferences! It's been a real testimony builder to me though serving in this area, even though we don't have a lot of time to go out and work because of all the training, the Lord really does bless us with success when we do go out and work! For example, we had a baptism this past Saturday for Nathan Harrison and I seriously have trusted in the Lord so much on my mission to help us with the people that we are teaching! It was the biggest blessing and the baptism was amazing!

These past 2 weeks we have also had a couple of exchanges and let me just say that EXCHANGE MIRACLES are a real thing! We exchanged with the Othello Zone Leaders, Moses Lake zone leaders and the Selah zone leaders! Haha they were all so fun and I learned SO MUCH from each of the elders! When I was with the othello zone leaders, me and Elder Lingard saw so many miracles, we actually put Charity, somebody that they are teaching that has been struggling so much, on date for baptism for December 11th! We were so pumped! I don't know why but my mind has been blown and my testimony has grown so much in these past couple weeks with seeing the Lord's hand in every aspect of the work!

With being AP, we don't have a lot of time to plan because we are always busy doing so many different things. So I have also seen the promise of opening my mouth and it shall be filled. With the training of Doctrine of Christ and Trainer Trainee, me and Elder Woodbrey give talks on obedience and being humble.  I can't even tell you everything that I said but the words were just flowing and the personal experiences I've had throughout my life I have been able to share and help the other missionaries that I was talking to! It was really something amazing to feel and I will never forget that experience!

Even with all the work, me and Elder Woodbrey have been able to get out for a little on Pdays and go on some pretty cool hikes! On one of the hikes we took a little bit of time and said a companionship prayer asking for the help that we need to be able to help assist president and lead this mission in the direction that the Lord wants it too! It was so amazing to be out in nature and really talk to my Father in Heaven! I want to invite everyone to take a sec this week and really find a quiet and peaceful place to talk to our Father in Heaven and ask him what he wants from you, and what you can do this week to be a better you... and then when you receive that answer. DO IT! I promise you that he will answer your prayer and that you will feel the love of our father!

I love you all and thank you to all who have sent me packages and letters! I love you all!!!

Crazy Transfer Call!

Wow-o-wow what a week! We have received transfer calls and I have received the call that I will be moving areas but I will be staying in Yakima. Now here's the crazy part.... I have been released as a Zone Leader and I have been called to be the new Assistant to the President! I am super excited for the new assignment! I will be replacing Elder Hart, who is the best missionary I have ever seen, so I am so nervous - but I know that the Lord will provide!

I got the call on Saturday and started on Sunday, so things are going crazy. My mind is honestly on a spin cycle with all of the information that I am receiving right now haha but it's good and hopefully everything will start to slow down as I continue to learn! I will be serving with Elder Woodbrey! We lived together before in the MTC, so it's going to be lit serving with him! He is like the smartest human being I have been around so I am excited for everything that I am about to learn from him!

The sucky thing is I will be working as an english missionary now..... so I pray that I won't lose my spanish! Me and Elder Woodbrey are both spanish missionaries so we are going to be grinding the spanish study when we have time, so it will be ok! The Lord will make a way! But honestly I am truly humbled for the assignment that I have received!

Other than that, we had the why I believe fireside and we had a great turnout! The Garfias from Mattawa came down and they loved it too! We sang as missionaries and it was the Selah Zone and the Yak Valley zone together - so when we sang it literally sounded like a full choir! We had 36 missionaries and it was awesome!

This week has been crazy! I hope you guys have the best week ever! I love you all!

This week was awesome! We were able to help Pablo Gomez be baptized this past Friday! It was awesome to see how much he had changed from first meeting him to being so excited about being baptized! Truly a testimony builder of how much Heavenly Father loves his children that he will prepare a way if they have that desire! Pablo definitely had that desire even though his family didn't support him all the way, he knew that the branch ward supported him but most importantly that Heavenly Father supported him and that's really all that mattered! It was so good and it was so funny before the baptism he got there a little early and wanted to change into his suit, so we changed into our white clothes and then went to the gym and hung out for a little. My boy Pablo is a baller so we got some shots off before his baptism and then after the service Pablo and all of us balled until we had to clean up! It was the best baptism ever! I have such a love for him, he honestly is my brother for life. I just think back to when I got the impression to go by his house and how I felt that connection right away. I will be forever grateful that I followed that impression.

This week we also had a family home evening with the branch! It was awesome! We set up a kind of haunted house thingy, that represented Lehi's vision of the tree of life! Me and elder Numbers were the people in the great and spacious building and it was so funny to yell at all the people walking down the iron rod. We almost got some people haha but I'm glad that they continued forward and got to the tree of life! it was super fun!

We had exchanged with the AP's this week too! I went with Elder Hart, who is going home this transfer, and I was his last person to exchange with him! Honestly he is such a beast missionary and I learned so much of how important teaching simple is! I'm gonna miss him a ton but we worked so hard for his last exchange!

This past week I have been doing a lot of personal study of hope and doing the small and simple things! And I can truly testify that the small and simple things are the things that can keep us strong in the gospel! Those small and simple things are daily prayer, daily scripture study, and serving! Don't be complacent! You are either progressing towards heavenly father or not... but those are the things that can strengthen our faith everyday!

We also had a cool opportunity to be on a video call pannel for Elder Hagues stake! It was awesome, they called in some of the missionaries from the stake from all around the world to answer questions from the priesthood! Hearing the testimonies and experiences from the other missionaries around the world from their stake was awesome and definitely helped me grow mine as well! It was an awesome experience and I'm super grateful for the time that I had to give advice and bear my testimony to others in california too!

Also shoutout to my Aunty Nica!!! I love you so much! Thank you for the package! Me and all the elders I live with enjoyed the oreos! haha

I love you all! I hope you all have a good week!

This week was bomb! We had Zone Conference, 2 exchanges with the District Leaders in the Zone, and a super good Sunday!

On Tuesday we had Zone Conference! It was awesome! We learned and were reminded about the importance of remembering him in everything we do! We talked about remembering him but also remembering who we are. One of the biggest parts that stood out to me was when we were talking Helaman's sons, Lehi and Nephi and why they were named that! In Helaman 5:6 it says, "Behold, my sons, I desire that ye should remember to keep the commandments of God; and I would that ye should declare unto the people these words. Behold, I have given unto you the names of our first parents who came out of the land of Jerusalem; and this I have done that when you remember your names ye may remember them; and when ye remember them ye may remember their works; and when ye remember their works ye may know how that it is said, and also written, that they were good." This scripture stuck out to me so much when P Jackman read it. It honestly made me think, "Why was I named Amoni?"After that it honestly gave me a boost of energy and I felt the spirit so strong! I made a new goal that I would remember who I am named after and also to remember the other 2 names that I represent out here in the mission, Ka'ili and Jesus Christ's name! The Zone Conference was so good. They also made everyone get flu shots, it was so funny seeing everyone line up and get them!

Wednesday we went on exchanges with Elder Raymer and Elder Numbers! I went with Elder Numbers to his area and the exchange was super good! I got to go back to my old area that I was in and talk with some of the people that I use to teach before and also see the other members that I was super close with in that area! Elder Numbers is a beast missionary too!

Saturday I went on exchanges with Elder Wells. Lol he's still a greenie so I got to have a little fun with him! But we had a crazy experience. So we were finding in the morning and we just weren't having the success that we wanted so we decided to go back to the car (we were walking all around his area knocking doors) and to pray of where we needed to go! After the prayer elder wells told me he thought of the number 9 right after we prayed so we looked at 9th ave and found this focus person so we went over there and when we got there it was crazy. So we got out of the car and just heard yelling and screaming and slams coming out of the house that we were about to knock. We heard super loud, "vato levantate!" and then a slam. I looked over to Elder wells who was shaking and asked, "Do you want to still knock the door?" and surprisingly he said yes! So we went up and knocked, I thought to myself the least we can do is stop this person from beating up the other person... and then we just hear a door slam on the other side of the house.  This guy comes out with a huge knife in his pocket and a gun in the back of his pants and starts screaming at us. Every other word was a f word. Honestly I thought we were about to throw hands! haha My adrenaline was pumping. He told us to get off his property and when he found out that we were Mormons he got even more mad, and started bashing Joseph Smith and making fun of us cause we can't drink coke or something like that! haha I kind of chuckled when he said that and he didn't like that too much.  I told him, "ok man, have a nice day." Then he said you have a nice day *mean word*. We got back in the car and then something crazy happened right after that... the JW's pull up like 2 secs after us and literally go knock on the guys door. He comes out and starts screaming at them too! It was insane and we were like, "Dang God is really trying to stop this guy or help him with something since both of the missionaries from 2 different churches show up 5 min apart!" It was crazy! But later that day we had the same situation happen, except we found this awesome guy named Rene! He was so prepared to find this message and we are super excited for him!

This past Sunday was Elder Hagues b day and such a good Sunday too! We were able to get Alberto and Pablo both to church! They both have baptismal dates for the 26th so we are pumped for them! After church we were able to go to another missionary panel where we talked in front of all the youth that are preparing for missions in the stake! It was such a good experience and the spirit was so strong! After dinner with Presidente Moreno we went to a Baptism for some of the hermanas in our zone. We finished the night with correlation! One of the best Sundays I have had on my mission! A lot of spiritual events that I was able to go too!

This week was so good! I hope you all have a good week as well! Les amo mucho!

This week was awesome! We had MLC, ZLC, and General Conference all this week so it was filled with meetings but also the spirit of course!

For MLC (Mission Leadership Council) Me and Elder Hagues had the opportunity to talk about our zone to the rest of the zone leaders in the mission. We discussed what we did last transfer to establish a family culture in our zone! It was cool, we talked about the different goals that we set and then had a little power point of pictures of fun things we did! Sister Jackman right before us talked about how it takes a village to raise a boy or a girl. I just thought back about how my dad use to say that to me. It was an awesome opportunity to talk in front of the other leaders and give advice of what we can do to be leaders but not just leaders, but examples to all those around us! It helped me more than anything recognize what I did and see what I can do better for this transfer! It was a lit meeting and we got to learn a lot from the President Jackman, Sister Jackman and the AP's!

General conference was SOOOOO GOOD! I could go on and on and I wish I could just put my notes on here, but the highlight of general conference has to be when I saw my little cousin Sammy on the big screen! Haha I was like no way!!! and of course I had to tell everyone that was talking about the cute little baby at the beginning of conference that that was my cousin haha!  But conference was so good! I learned so much if I could put it in a couple of sentences this is how I would sum it up. We need to commit completely and take our covenants more seriously and be ALL IN! We need to put God first no matter what comes our way. GOD ALWAYS NEEDS TO BE FIRST. We need to learn how to recognize the Spirit and receive revelation our own personal ways! DON'T DOUBT A PROMPTING. FOLLOW IT IMMEDIATELY! Be faithful, not faithless. I have to say from this general conference it feels like they are preparing us for what is going to come in the world and it sounds like Satan is going to be bringing out his big guns! So we have to be ready, read our Book of Mormons every day, every day ,every day,. Pray every day, every day, every day, and take the sacrament every week, every week, every week! We have to be prepared, we have to put Him first, we have to keep our covenants and the commandments and everything will be OK. Even though things will come, we have to trust in God and let our faith help us through the hard times. I loved conference and learned so much! I cant wait to start re listening to all of them! I also cant wait for next conference! Its going to be CRAZY!!

I love you all and hope you guys have a good week! Re listen to the general conference talks! They will help you each day! Read the BOM and pray every day! You will be blessed! I know this church is true with all my heart! Have the best week ever! Les amo!

What a week! We went to SEATTLE and we had transfers this week!

We went to Seattle for the temple with Itzayana and Leiticia, our recent converts and it was so good! Being able to do baptisms with them was an experience I'll never forget! It was so nice to feel the spirit. Being able to see them go from just people that we knocked into 2 months ago to walking into the temple was a feeling that I cant' describe in words! It was so fun. It was raining so hard as we were going to the temple too and then right when we got there the clouds split and the sun beamed right on the temple. It all started a little rough but the ending was so awesome and spiritual! I am so happy for Leti and Itzayana though and the way they are going! Their whole life is changed because of the Gospel! Being in Seattle was crazy though seeing all the trees and a big city was so nice! Haha it was crazy... I've been in Yakima too long lol!

Transfers were awesome. Elder Hagues and I were the transfer site coordinators and it was hecka fun! We had a horn and got everyone hyped for this upcoming transfer! It was super fun!

Love you all! Have a good week! General conference this week!!! Letzgoooo!

This week was good!

We had transfer calls this week and I am...... staying in Yakima! Haha after this transfer I will have been in the same apartment and same branch for 8 Months! Im pumped though because the new missionaries that are coming into my zone are solid and we are going to finally have more elders than sisters... haha which is always better... jk jk only for playing sports haha! But yeah I am excited to stay because now I am going to be able to go to the temple and do baptisms with my recent converts Leti and Itzayana! And also me and Elder Hagues have some people that we are working with that have baptism dates for October so I will be here for that as well! So in the end Heavenly Father knows what he is doing with me and I am glad to stay another transfer! Also another blessing of staying another transfer is Me and Elder Hagues have something coming soon.... keep an eye out on my Facebook! lol

This week Me and Elder Hagues were trying to meet with Alberto, somebody that has so much potential! So we were really willing to do anything we can to meet with him. We called him and he told us that he was going to be feeding his chickens and changing out their water and if we wanted we could come and talk to him a little over there. So you already know we took that service and teaching opportunity real quick and went over haha! It was so fun to grab all the chickens and put them back into there coops! He has a little boy named Armani and he was going crazy with the chickens! It was so funny! Then after we were able to have a bomb lesson with him on Alma 32 and talk about the things that can help him grow his faith in our savior! It was an awesome day!

Yesterday we had our  "Por que Yo Creo" Charla Fogonera! In English our "Why I believe" fireside! We have them every transfer and they are always one of the biggest highlights of my transfer! We ask like 3 or 4 recent converts or just converts to share their conversion story and their testimonies are always so strong and help the people that we are teaching so much! The spirit that is there every time is the best! Yesterday all the missionaries in my zone sang during it. We sang "Como Puedo Ser" or "How can I be" in Spanish! Me and Elder Hagues played the Uke and everyone sang! It was so fun! Sister Jackman even gave her testimony in spanish! Haha it was awesome!

I love you all and hope you all have a good week!

Dang I don't even know where to start! These past 2 weeks have been so crazy! The Lord is blessing our zone so much. The past 3 weekends we have been able to see baptisms every Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We have been filling the water for a different companionship and we are looking forward for another one this week!
This week Elder Hagues and I had the opportunity to represent the mission at this stake young men's missionary activity! It was a panel and all the young men from around this area got to ask us questions about the mission or about preparing for the mission. We had 6 of us up on the panel. It was us and a couple of RM's too! Man it was so nice to be able to hear the testimonies of those RM's, I could tell by the power of their testimonies how good of missionaries they were. One of the guys there was named Bryan, and he had just returned from his mission the day before. His testimony of the Book of Mormon, just by hearing it, strengthened mine! Sharing my testimony and sharing my experiences I have had with the Spirit with the young men has helped me look at my mission at a whole different perspective. If anything, this whole activity helped me more than the young men! It showed me how important the decision of coming out on a mission has changed me and will change me for the rest of my life. Making the decision to come out on my mission is the best decision that I have made. Even though some days are hard, I don't regret a thing about coming out here! It was an awesome experience!

This week we were able to set a temple date with Itzayana and Leticia our recent converts and are planning to go to the Seattle Temple this Saturday! We are pumped! Last night we went over to their house and talked about family history and help them set up an account! It was sweet!

On Tuesday it was one of the Elders' birthday that we live with so we had to celebrate; and what's a better way to celebrate than SUSHI! Haha we got so much sushi that we were dead! It was so much fun though. The sushi ain't as a good as the ones in Utah and they don't have all you can eat so that sucks! But it was nice! I gave him that fresh haircut for his present haha!

I love you all and Hope you have a good week!

This week has been one of the best weeks of my mission! Leti and Itzayana got baptized, we went to the Temple, we had Super Zone Conference, We went to Othello for another baptism, this week was insane and packed with Baptisms!

Leti and Itzayana's baptism was so good! I was blessed with the privilege to baptize Itzayana, the daughter, and Elder Bradshaw my old companion came back and baptized Leti, the mom! It was crazy! So the baptism was suppose to be at 7 PM but when 6 came around they messaged us and were like, "nos vemos a las 8 verdad?" and we were like oh shoot noooooo! Haha and then they told us that they weren't going to be able to come till 8 because that's what they planned for so we had to scatter around and txt the branch and move the baptism till then! It was crazy but everything worked out and the baptism was beautiful! They shared the testimonies at the end and it was one of the those moments in my mission where it was just a clarification of why I need to be in this area. They have become my family and will be my family forever! The love I have grown for these 2 is insane. It took them 4 weeks knowing the gospel to get into the waters and grow a testimony like that and I honestly just feel super grateful for the opportunity to be a small part in their conversion!

Earlier this week we had Super Zone Conference and me and Elder Hagues got to conduct it! It was so lit! We had all the southern zones in the mission all in one building! Zone Conference was themed like an EFY except we called it EFM for especially for missionaries! We had classes that were super good! We talked about all different aspects of missionary work and what we could do better and I learned so much! It was one of the best zone conferences I've been too! One of my favorite quotes from zone conference went a little something like this, Anything worth it in life is on the other side of fear! If there is anything I have learned about my mission would be that fear is Satanas biggest tool! In order for us as missionaries or just members to improve we have to get over the fear, trust in god, and move forward. I know the biggest miracles and where I have grown the most is when I have feared god more than man! Something that I am still working on but the quote is so true!

We also went to the temple with the zone this week! It was so nice to be back in the temple! Ahh the peace that comes from being inside the temple is something that I wish for everyone to feel! But it was super fun, I can't wait to be back home and go to the temple whenever I want! Its going to be good!

This week was so good! I love you all and hope you guys all have a good week!
